Mimo's Recipe Book – Lavender panna cotta with berry sauce
Lavender panna cotta with berry sauce
Our passion for tableware originated from our love for food, cooking, and togetherness. With this recipe, we conclude the Christmas dinner with an elegant dessert. Just like in our previous dishes, we show which tableware we used and why it's the ideal match. This lavender panna cotta with berry sauce is easy to prepare, can be made well in advance, and will make your dinner end wonderfully.
Ingredients
- 500 ml whipping cream
- 1 small teaspoon agar-agar (or gelatine according to instructions)
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- Splash of lavender syrup to taste
- Fresh mint leaves for decoration
For the sauce
- 200 grams blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
- Juice of ¼ lemon
Preparation
Lavender panna cotta:
In a saucepan, slowly bring the whipping cream with agar-agar, sugar, and a splash of lavender syrup to a boil. Stir regularly to dissolve the agar-agar. Once the cream boils, let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes and then remove the pan from the heat.
Divide the mixture among four small bowls or ramekins. Let it cool on the counter for about 30 minutes. Then place the bowls in the refrigerator for at least three hours to allow the panna cotta to set.
Berry sauce:
Put the blueberries with sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan. Let this simmer over low heat until the berries soften and form a sauce; stir regularly. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Serving – in a mini plate or small bowl
Your dessert is almost ready! Now comes the choice of tableware:
-
Mini plate – Do you want to present the panna cotta as an elegant dessert? Use a mini plate from our collection. The light brown glaze creates a beautiful contrast with the soft cream and the purple berry sauce. The matte finish brings tranquility to the table, just like in the Japandi style.
Unmold the panna cotta by placing the bowl upside down on the plate and gently shaking. If it sticks, use a knife to loosen the edges. Then spoon the berry sauce over it and garnish with, for example, a mint leaf for a fresh touch.
